Job Details

• Shift: Days – 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Weekly Guarantee: 36 or 48 hours per week available
  • 36 hours: 3 shifts × 12 hours
  • 48 hours: 4 shifts × 12 hours
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule
• On-Call: No call
• Nurse/Patient Ratio: 6:1
• EMR: Epic
• Scrubs: Ceil Blue
• Float Requirement: Candidates must be willing to float
• Overtime: Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours

Certifications & License

• BLS certification through AHA required
• Valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact RN license
• BSN preferred

Experience

• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care while practicing independently.
• Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols.
• Monitor patients for medication side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
• Manage and respond appropriately to changing clinical situations.
• Meet applicable OneCHRISTUS competency standards.
