Registered Nurse – Stroke Telemetry Unit
Unit Description:
The 3B/3C Stroke Telemetry Unit is a 34-bed, high-acuity medical-surgical unit specializing in acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. The unit provides evidence-based, protocol-driven care with a strong focus on patient safety, rapid intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform and document frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale.

Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes.

Ensure compliance with stroke core measures, including dysphagia screening, patient education, and care planning.

Safely administer medications following BCMA standards.

Collaborate with providers, therapists, case management, and other healthcare professionals.

Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain a strong focus on fall prevention, skin integrity, and overall patient safety.

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to stroke and telemetry patients.
