Job Summary for Main OR – Operating Room – Surgical Tech

- Provide surgical assistance in a busy operating room caring for a diverse patient population.
- Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma.
- Operate and assist with advanced technology, including two DaVinci surgical robots.
- Participate in transplant surgeries involving liver, kidney, and heart.
- Function as a scrub tech for surgical cases.
- Work 12-hour rotating day/evening/night shifts, with options for 48-hour work weeks.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and safety in a Level 1 trauma center.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams during procedures.
- Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and sterile techniques.
- Maintain required certifications (BLS - American Heart Association) and NBSTSA certification or relevant prior experience.
- Preferred: Prior experience in a Level 1 trauma operating room and minimum of two years of surgical technologist experience.
