Description

Job Summary: Preop / PACU RN

Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Preoperative (Preop) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before and after surgical procedures.
Monitor and manage patients’ recovery from anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare team members.
Educate patients and families about surgical procedures, recovery, and post-discharge care.
Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Participate in on-call rotation: approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call every 8 weeks (subject to change based on staffing).
Weeknight call hours: 9:00 pm – 7:00 am; Weekend call hours: 7:00 am – 7:00 am.
Holiday call coverage is required.
Work assigned shifts ranging between: 6:00 am–6:30 pm, 7:00 am–7:30 pm, 8:00 am–8:30 pm, or 9:00 am–9:30 pm.

Med Ninjas Job ID #16233. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
