Description

Job Summary

Provide quality patient care in the Operating Room (OR) setting
Assess patient needs including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects
Utilize knowledge of nursing principles and clinical equipment/instrumentation used in OR/ASU
Recognize and address safety issues for self and patients, including safe patient movement
Function effectively in high-stress situations and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
Demonstrate strong leadership, prioritization, and delegation abilities
May assume responsibilities as a charge nurse as needed
Exhibit excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Interpret lethal dysrhythmia and respond appropriately
Participate in on-call rotation with 30-minute response time
Work 8-hour day shifts (7a-3:30p) with required weekend, holiday, and call coverage
Maintain current NYS RN license and BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
Adhere to policies and standards for patient safety and aseptic technique

Med Ninjas Job ID #16903. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
