- Provides professional nursing care for a designated group of patients within a specified time frame.
- Utilizes the nursing process, current nursing trends, and technology in patient care.
- Manages financial and human resources in alignment with institutional philosophy.
- Performs duties and responsibilities specific to assigned unit and scope of service.
- Implements nursing procedures and theories relevant to area of practice.
- Maintains accurate and current documentation of nursing care.
- Conducts initial patient assessments and develops individualized care plans based on patient and family needs.
- Executes and modifies care plans and nursing interventions as patient condition evolves.
- Prioritizes patient and staff safety, reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicates effectively to resolve issues and collaborates with the healthcare team.
- Provides constructive feedback and supports professional development of peers.
- Identifies personal learning needs and actively seeks educational opportunities.
- Meets all departmental competency standards and requirements.
- Holds and maintains current Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
