Job Summary :

- Interview Process: Quick phone call or text interview from a 405 area code.
- Local Radius Rule: Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver’s license); no local candidates allowed.
- Employee Separation Policy: Former UPH employees (FTE/PRN) cannot take travel assignments at any UPH Market within 12 months of their last employment, except if they were travel staff only.
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work 1–2 of the 3 major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day in summer or comparable winter holidays) unless unit is closed.
- Orientation Dates: 10/26, 11/2, 11/9.
- Unit Details:
- 2 procedure beds, 3 pre/post bays.
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3.
- Patient types: Non-invasive cardiology procedures (TEE, cardioversions, stress testing, pre/post and procedural).
- Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 24 months in a cardiac/cardiology, cath, or vascular setting.
- 1st time travelers accepted with at least 3 years of experience.
- Required experience in pre/post op, diagnostic procedures, TEE, cardioversion, and EPIC EMR.
- Stress testing experience preferred.
- Schedule & Pay:
- NBO: 16 hrs.
- OT/Holiday pay: 1.15x rate.
- Call Back: 1.5x with 2 hr minimum.
- On Call: $9/hr.
- Charge/Precepting: $6/hr.
- OT billable after 40 hrs/week for 36-40 hr schedules, after 48 hrs/week for 48 hr schedules.
- Submission Requirements:
- Clinical interview pre-screening with 405 area code.
- Work history/resume with 24 months current pre/post op or cardiac/cath experience.
- Discipline-specific skills checklist.
- Professional reference (preferably a supervisor/manager, from within past 24 months).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current BLS (AHA or ARC) certification.
- License Requirements: Active Iowa RN license or compact license allowed.
