Description

RN – Labor & Delivery Travel Contract

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Minimum Experience: 2 years required

Patient Population

  • Neonates/Infants
  • Adults

Certifications

Required:

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NRP

Clinical Experience Required

Seeking experienced L&D travelers comfortable working in a team-based unit with experience in:

  • Vaginal deliveries
  • Cesarean sections
  • Multiple births
  • Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH)
  • Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH)
  • D&C procedures

Unit & Ratios

  • Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
  • L&D Beds: 16
  • Average Daily Census: 15
  • L&D Triage Beds: 6

Systems

  • EPIC – Required
  • Pyxis
  • SBAR

Schedule & Requirements

  • Weekends: 3 weekend shifts per contract
  • Floating: Yes, within the facility and scope of practice as needed
  • Call: 2 AM/PM call shifts required per 6 weeks
  • Scrubs: Provided by facility

RTO / Blackout Dates

  • Maximum RTO: 7 days
  • RTO Blackout: Spring Break — April 4–12

Holiday Requirement

If the assignment includes:

  • 1 major holiday: Traveler works 1 holiday
  • 2 major holidays: Traveler works both
  • 3 major holidays: Traveler works 2

Major Holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

Compliance

Full compliance is required to start on time. If compliance is not completed on time, the start date may be pushed back 2 weeks because orientation occurs biweekly.

Med Ninjas Job ID #17389. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
