Job Summary (List Format):

- Performs proficient 2D, M-mode, and Doppler echocardiography exams.
- Coordinates with other hospital departments for scheduling, patient transport, phone communication, and billing.
- Assists cardiologists during exams by preparing measurements and exchanging relevant diagnostic information.
- Manages delivery, pick up, and distribution of dictations efficiently.
- Responds to patient needs and communicates changes in condition to appropriate medical staff.
- Orders and maintains inventory of echo supplies; ensures exam rooms are clean and stocked.
- Logs and files patient records and exam information within the department.
- Participates in departmental and hospital-wide performance improvement activities.
- Shares responsibility for on-call coverage for emergency echo exams outside regular hours.
- Maintains equipment quality control and coordinates repair services as needed.
- Stays updated on advancements in echocardiography and collaborates with cardiologists for continued learning.
- Assists with additional cardiac procedures as required.
- Holds and maintains appropriate certifications and licenses (A.R.D.M.S./CCI or equivalent, NM Echo Sonographer License, BLS certification).
