The Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography Technologist works closely with the cardiologist in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases in our Accredited Echo Lab which includes outpatients, off-campus sites & inpatients with hospital coverage on-call after hours, weekends and holidays. Diagnostic Ultrasound testing includes m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, strain imaging, bubble studies, contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise & pharmacology stress echocardiograms, imaging for structural heart procedures, and assist the cardiologist with both 2D & 3D transesophageal echocardiograms.

  Submission Requirements

• Registered as a Cardiac Sonographer - RDCS or RCS - [Required] [Document]
• 1+ Years of Experience as a Cardiac Sonographer - [Required] 
• Must be willing to work at all Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) sites on occasion- [Required]
• Knowledge of Aseptic Technique and EKG Rhythms - [Required]
• Ability to use Electronic Medical Records - [Required]
• Experience with IV Insertion for Administration of Ultrasound Imaging Enhancement Agents and Bubble Studies - [Required]
• Graduate with an Associates or Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Echocardiography Program - [Required]
• BLS (AHA or ARC) - [Required] [Document]
