Description
- Position requires experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management (MUST HAVE).
- Local radius restriction: 50 miles (local rates apply within this radius).
- Start date: ASAP.
- Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients.
- Minimum required experience: 1 year.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
- No on-call required.
- Floating required between similar units, including possible float to Med Surg.
- Block scheduling possible (subject to manager discretion).
- No pending licenses accepted.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.
- Guaranteed hours, but facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
- May be required to float to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center Torrance.

Pros
Providence LCM is a small community hospital with a great team and team work. I enjoyed working every single day with my pod buddies, ER physicians and charge nurse. Everyone is so helpful, you will find a resource nurse and break nurse who is constantly helping out nurses with critical patients. They always keep in consideration about the patient nurse ratio.
Cons
You will do self scheduling but it’s not guaranteed that you will get all the days, manager tries her best to keep in consideration of your days that you need.
