Job Summary (List Format): 
 
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department (ED). 
- Evaluates patient outcomes and consults with specialists and ancillary departments as needed. 
- Adjusts nursing care processes to ensure optimal patient care and flow through the ER. 
- Delivers care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients. 
- Meets communication needs of patients and families. 
- Demonstrates initiative and responsibility consistent with professional nursing expectations. 
- Communicates effectively with ED physicians regarding patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic results. 
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. 
- Requires current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois. 
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; ENPC, TNCC, and TNS preferred. 
- Night shift position (6:30pm - 7:00am) with rotating weekends.
