Job Summary (List Format):

- Position: Operating Room (OR) Nurse (Traveler)
- Facility: Glens Falls Hospital, Glens Falls, NY
- EPIC Experience: Required
- License: Must have New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate
- Experience Required:
- At least 2 years of current OR experience
- Experience floating to vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT cases
- Prior travel nursing experience
- Experience with both circulating and scrub roles
- Certifications Required: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
- Patient Population: Pediatric to Adult
- Duties:
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care before, during, and after surgery
- Maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment
- Provide pre- and post-operative patient education
- Monitor patients’ physical and emotional well-being
- Coordinate patient care throughout surgical continuum
- Specialty Skills: Strong vascular and orthopedic surgery skills required
- Primary Role: Circulating nurse; scrub experience preferred
- EMR: EPIC
- Operating Rooms: 14 rooms, including coverage for C-sections in Labor & Delivery
- Procedures: All surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology; average 50 procedures per day
- Work Requirements:
- Must have own vehicle (firm requirement)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- COVID vaccination encouraged, not required
- Completion of de-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS) required
- Negative 14-panel drug screen required (detailed substances listed)
- Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
- Call: $4/hr; Holiday/Callback/OT multiplier: 1.25%

- Permanent address required and must match driver’s license/state ID (address validated during compliance)
- Not eligible if permanent address is in listed NY counties
