Description
Job Summary (List Format):
- Position: Registered Nurse (Med/Surg)
- Shift: 7AM - 7PM (Days)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Work Schedule: Full-time, includes weekends and on-call shifts (2-4 per month, rotated)
- Floating: Required to float to all Med/Surg departments under Maya Sandoval
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
- Dress Code: Grey scrubs
- EMR: EPIC
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a Med/Surg setting
- Utilize the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients/families
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor for side effects and efficacy
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Delegate tasks and make appropriate assignments to manage the clinical situation
- Meet OneCHRISTUS competencies based on role level
Job Requirements:
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active RN license (state of employment or compact)
- BLS certification via AHA (required)
- Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in related nursing specialty preferred
Other Requirements:
- Rotating weekends and on-call shifts
- No blocked scheduling
- Ability to float as needed within Med/Surg departments

Med Ninjas Job ID #18457. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
