Job Summary (List Format):

- Perform laboratory testing and analysis to assist in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases.
- Work independently on overnight shifts (7 PM – 7:30 AM), 7 days on/7 days off, including every other weekend and holidays, as scheduled.
- Manage laboratory workflow, multitask, and adjust priorities, especially during codes and traumas.
- Accession and order laboratory tests in the Laboratory Information System (LIS); process specimens, including referral to reference labs.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment; perform basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Adhere to sterilization and infection control procedures due to regular exposure to infectious specimens.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory agencies; assist in writing laboratory policies and procedures.
- Perform routine phlebotomy and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
- Work in all laboratory sections and perform analytical testing on patient specimens.
- Demonstrate core mission, vision, and values of the Winnebago Tribe.
- Collaborate under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager.
- Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and hospital laboratory practices.
- Meet physical requirements (light lifting, extended standing, sitting, walking, use of office equipment).
- Exhibit strong cognitive skills, including reading, writing, reasoning, and analysis; able to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Hold required certifications and comply with criminal background requirements.
