Job Summary (List Format):

- Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Required Skills/Experience:
- General Operating Room procedures
- Bariatric surgeries: Gastric bypass, sleeve, lap band, laparoscopic cases
- Vascular procedures: Aortic aneurysm repair, carotid angioplasty/stenting/endarterectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, renal artery bypass, vein stripping
- Thoracic procedures: Lobe/lung resection (thoracotomy), mediastinoscopy, VATS
- ENT surgeries: Endoscopic sinus, laryngectomy, radical neck dissection, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy
- GI procedures: Colonoscopy, PEG tube, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair
- Breast/Endocrine: Mastectomy, thyroidectomy (partial/total)
- Oncology: Whipple procedure
- Gynecology: Hysterectomy (abdominal/vaginal), anterior/posterior repair, bilateral tubal ligation, D&C, lap-assisted GYN procedures, therapeutic abortion, vulvectomy
- Spine/Neuro: ALIF, cervical/lumbar fusions, craniotomy, VP shunt, laminectomy/discectomy, XLIF
- Orthopedic: ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, carpal tunnel, fracture reduction, total joint replacement, spinal fusion
- Plastic/Reconstructive: Abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, fat grafting, free flap, mastectomy with tram flap
- Podiatry: Ankle fusion, bunionectomy, hallux valgus, metatarsal surgery
- Urology: Circumcision, cystectomy, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP
- Amputations
- Pediatric: Myringotomy, tonsillectomy/adenoids
- Da Vinci Xi Surgical System experience
- General Nursing Duties:
- Code response
- Fire, laser, and radiation safety
- Latex allergy management
- Administration of blood/blood products
- Infection control and specimen handling/labeling
- Universal Protocol (Time out)
- Urinary bladder catheterization
- Phlebotomy and IV placement (mandatory competency for all RNs)
- Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- Diverse caseload: ortho (total joint & trauma), neuro, GYN/urology, vascular, thoracic
- Scheduling:
- Open to block scheduling (not guaranteed)
- Call required
- Experience:
- Minimum 3 years required
- EPIC experience preferred
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Other Details:
- Locals not accepted (within 75 miles)
- Pending licenses not accepted
- Minimal time-off (RTO) restrictions
- Scrubs: Teal
