Description

Job Title: Operating Room (OR) RN – Travel Contract
Facility: UnityPoint Health – Iowa Methodist Medical Center
Location: Des Moines, Iowa
EMR: Epic
Bed Size: 16 OR suites
License: Iowa or Compact RN License
Certification: BLS (AHA)

Job Requirements:

Minimum 24 months of recent OR nursing experience.
Circulating experience required; scrubbing experience highly preferred.
Experience in General, Da Vinci Robotics, Pediatrics, and Trauma cases required.
Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred.
Recent Epic experience within the last 3 years.
Must have completed a travel assignment within the last 15 months.
Must be willing to float across multiple campuses and work 1–2 winter holidays.
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility.

Key Details:

Patient Ratio: 1:1
Average Caseload: 35–50 cases/day
On-Call: Weekends, Friday after shift through Monday at 6:30 AM
Scrubs: Provided

Preferred Experience: Neuro, Ortho Trauma, Robotics, GYN, Urology, Transplants, Vascular, ENT, and Plastics.

Med Ninjas Job ID #19377. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
