Location: Napa, California 94558

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Shift: Night Shift, 3×12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Certifications

• BLS – Basic Life Support

• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

• NIHSS – National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale

Required Skills & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.

• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient conditions; respond promptly to changes.

• Care for ventilated patients and assist with chest tube insertion and removal.

• Manage patients in Medical ICU (MICU) and Surgical ICU (SICU).

• Provide neurological care, including acute stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury management.

• Perform ICP monitoring and provide post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgical care, where qualified.

• Follow infection prevention protocols, isolation precautions, and PPE guidelines.

• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Preferred Experience

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)

• Neuro ICU

• CVA / acute stroke management

• Hypothermia protocol / Arctic Sun

• ICP monitoring

• Post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management

• Spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury care

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Nurse with ICU/critical care experience.

• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications as specified by the facility.

• Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and emergency response skills.

• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced critical-care environment.
