Job Summary (List Format):

- Patient Population: Cardiac and telemetry patients (not stepdown unit)
- Shift: Nights, 7PM – 7AM
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week guaranteed
- Start Date: ASAP
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Floating Requirement: None
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
- EMR: Epic
- Dress Code: Ceil blue scrubs

Core Responsibilities:
- Provides both routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiac/telemetry setting.
- Utilizes nursing process for patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for effectiveness and side effects.
- Documents all relevant patient information, including history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Provides education to patients, families, and caregivers; assesses learning needs and identifies resources.
- Delegates tasks and makes appropriate assignments to other care providers as needed.
- Meets OneCHRISTUS competencies and adheres to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.

Requirements:
- Licenses/Certifications: Active RN license in state of employment or compact; BLS and ACLS via AHA required.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred.
- Orientation: Must complete New Nurse Orientation and required competency validations.
- Residency/Training: Newly licensed RNs may participate in residency or specific orientation programs.

Work Type: Full time (Nights)

Other Notes:
- Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours per week.
- No on-call or floating requirements.
