Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS

License: Active RN License required

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) to provide high-quality nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit with a high patient census in a large hospital facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.

• Provide nursing care for high-risk pregnancies and recognize potential maternal or fetal complications.

• Monitor fetal heart rates and uterine contractions and respond promptly to emergencies.

• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures.

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

• Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards.

• Collaborate effectively with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

• Follow infection control procedures, patient identification protocols, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

• Previous experience managing high-risk pregnancies in a large hospital setting.

• Ability to manage a high patient census and respond effectively to obstetric emergencies.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, documentation, and communication skills.

• Willingness to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
