Travel RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: 2601 Dimmitt Rd, Plainview, TX 79072

Shift: Mid Shift, 3 × 12-hour shifts (3:00 PM – 3:30 AM)

Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care Hospital Total Staffed Beds: 49 Trauma Level: Level IV

Required Certifications

• ACLS

• AWHONN Intermediate

• BLS

• FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.

• Monitor maternal vital signs, uterine contractions, and fetal heart rates.

• Assist physicians with deliveries and manage obstetric emergencies.

• Provide care for OB triage and outpatient patients as needed.

• Assist with postpartum and nursery care based on patient volume and staffing needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow AWHONN guidelines and facility protocols.

• Work independently in a rural hospital setting and collaborate with available backup staff when needed.

Schedule & Requirements

• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.

• On-Call: Not required.

• Floating: No required floating to other units.

• Block Scheduling: Not required.

• Patient Ratios: Variable.

• 48-Hour Schedule: Not approved.

• Scrub Color: Navy blue for RNs.

• Parking: Free parking in any unrestricted space.
