Description
Surgical Technologist – Operating Room (OR)
Shift: Day Shift Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Working Days: Monday, Thursday, and Friday Total Hours: 36 hours per week Interview Type: Virtual/Phone Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
Job Responsibilities

Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and equipment before procedures.

Maintain a sterile field and follow infection prevention protocols.

Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures.

Anticipate surgical needs and provide instruments, supplies, and equipment.

Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse to ensure patient safety.

Handle specimens appropriately and maintain accurate documentation.

Follow established surgical protocols and maintain a safe operating environment.
Required Certifications
-
BLS: American Heart Association (AHA) only
-
CST: NBSTSA or NCCT certification
Required Experience & Skills
-
Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.

Experience in the following specialties:

Neurology / Neurosurgery
-
Urology
-
Orthopedics
-
General Surgery
-
Robotic Surgery, specifically da Vinci Xi
