Description
- Unit Focus: Cardiovascular/thoracic, Transplant, and Thoracic Robotics (preferred)
- Schedule: Friday-Sunday weekends required
- On-Call: Call requirements will be discussed during interview
- Floating: May float within facility and to Main OR as needed, within scope of practice
- Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted
- Clinical Review: Candidates screened by clinical team for fit; must meet Piedmont guidelines
- RTO (Requested Time Off): Maximum 7 days allowed during assignment
- Holiday Coverage:
- Must work 1 major holiday if it falls in assignment period
- If 2 holidays, must work both
- If 3 holidays, must work at least 2
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
- Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to orientation schedule
- Locals: Accepted at same rate as travelers
- Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8 weeks, 10 hours for 10 weeks)
- NBO (Non-Billable Orientation): Determined by contract length
