Description

Job Summary (Respiratory Therapist – Nights, 7p-7a, 13 weeks):

- Provide respiratory care within a 100-mile radius, working night shifts (7p-7a) for a 13-week assignment
- Assess, plan, and administer respiratory therapies for patients as prescribed
- Set up and manage patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles (volume, flow, pressure, time relationships)
- Monitor and interpret acid/base and electrolyte imbalances; respond to life-threatening situations appropriately
- Document all care and interventions in the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Comply with federal, state, and hospital policies and regulations
- Maintain required certifications: NY State license, RRT (NBRC), BLS, ACLS (NRP and PALS preferred)
- Stay current with best practices in respiratory care and participate in ongoing education
- Demonstrate knowledge and application of respiratory care techniques and equipment

Med Ninjas Job ID #7585. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
