Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Overview
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (EP Tech for EP Lab)
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Typical Census: 2 procedure rooms, 1:5 tech-to-patient ratio, 8-12 patients per day
- Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis
- Scrub color provided by facility
- Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
- Floating: Rare but possible within facility and scope of practice
- Call Requirements: Yes; no weekend call but may need to stay past shift hours if on call that day
- Holiday Work: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (see list below)
- Required to start within 7 days of offer (RTO)
- Orientation hours vary by contract length

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- ARRT (R) or CCI certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Check: Must be completed within 30 days prior to start, including criminal, sex offender, education verification, and others
- Education Verification: Degree verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- Physical Exam: Required within 12 months prior to start
- Drug Screen: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, cocaine, opiates, THC, etc.)
- Immunizations & Health:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with TB questionnaire updated annually)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
- Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- TDAP highly recommended but not required
- Color Blind Testing: Required; alternative assessment available if needed
- Competency Exams: Required for dysrhythmia/EKG and medication/pharmacology competency
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated within 12 months
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- References: Two clinical references required

- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Orientation hours are non-billable and vary by contract length
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
- Candidate must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start
