Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech
Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Position requires working in Interventional Radiology during day shifts.
- Must have ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology required.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Floating within scope to meet facility needs and floating between like units is required.
- Days, weekends, and call shifts are required; callouts for scheduled shifts must be made up as necessary.
- Locals are not accepted if residing within a 50-mile radius of the main campus.
- Pending licenses are not accepted.
- Return staff policy: must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler.
- Maximum of 2 contracts allowed (can extend once), then must be gone for 6 months before returning.

Required Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
Background and Compliance
- Background check required within 6 months of start, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence, nationwide search, sex offender search, and international search if applicable.
- Convictions within the last year or open/active cases will result in cancellation.
- Education verification related to specialty required.
- Various facility-specific documents must be reviewed, signed, and completed prior to start (e.g., confidentiality agreements, emergency contact form, professional appearance acknowledgment).
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, no large earrings, face piercings, unnatural hair colors, or head coverings unless for religious reasons).
- TB screening form required annually regardless of TB test results.
- Modules must be completed prior to start as instructed by the facility.
Additional Notes
- Block scheduling accommodations may be considered.
- Guaranteed hours policy: after 2 call-off shifts in a 13-week assignment, all contracted hours are guaranteed.
- Orientation includes a full day on Monday with unit representative and schedule distribution.
- Parking registration required for those driving to work.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
