Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (CVOR) - Travel/Contract

Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Unit Details

Weekend rotation: To be discussed during interview
Call: Yes/variable; typically one weekday call every week and one weekend call every 5-6 weeks
Floating: Within facility/scope of practice as needed
Minimum Experience: 2 years in specialty
First-time travelers accepted
Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
Holiday Work: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2 holidays, expected to work both; if 3 holidays, expected to work 2
Major Holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may push start date by 2 weeks due to orientation schedule
Locals accepted at same rate

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
CVOR experience (minimum 2 years)
CVOR experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final manager approval
Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
Candidates must review and sign facility-specific policies such as Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
Privileging specialties (such as CVOR Certified Surgical First Assistant and RNFA) have additional compliance and documentation requirements

Prior Travel Experience

No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are accepted
