Description
Psychiatric Technician – Child/Adolescent
Job Description
- Provide direct care and clinical services to in-patient psychiatric patients on an individual basis.
- Assist with daily living activities, social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN.
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure access to required services.
- Inform RN of any patient changes.
- Participate in rounds and group therapy as needed.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Rotating shifts including day, evening, and night
- Includes holidays, weekends, on-call, and call-back as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician
- Associate’s degree in Psychology or Sociology
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Experience working with children and adolescents aged 8 to 18 years
