Description

Registered Nurse - PICU

Location

Billings, Montana

Job Summary

Evaluate health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
Perform health teaching and counseling.
Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or indirectly.
Execute delegated medical functions.
Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document according to hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Utilize resources effectively.
May float to other departments within scope of competency.
May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Contract length: 12 weeks
Shift: Variable 12-hour shifts
Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana.
Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association, and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school.
Experience in pediatric nursing.
Experience with resource utilization.
Prior travel nursing experience.
Ability to work nights and/or weekends as required.
Regular attendance on-site during scheduled shifts.
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
