RN Perioperative Circulator

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, 4 days per week
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Schedule: No call, no weekends, no holidays

Job Summary

The Perioperative Circulator is a Registered Nurse responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing operative or invasive procedures. This role requires applying clinical knowledge and judgment to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients in the perioperative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care in the operating room.
• Continuously evaluate and document all aspects of patient care using the nursing process.
• Individualize patient care based on health status, age, and type of surgery or procedure.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team to deliver specialized perioperative care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an Operating Room (OR) Circulator within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Excellent understanding of AORN Standards
• Perioperative experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification.
• Experience in ophthalmology procedures.

Additional Information

• Work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities.
