Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Honesdale, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Work in OB with experience in Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby required
• No block scheduling
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage
• No call requirements
• EMR system used: Meditech

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Maternal-Newborn experience

Experience

• Specialty experience: Labor and Delivery and Mother Baby (years not explicitly stated, assume minimum RN experience required)
• No prior travel experience explicitly required

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form prior to start
• Background checks within 1 year including SS Trace, County searches (7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year (annual TB questionnaire required)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of immunity or vaccination per birth year guidelines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccination, or history of chickenpox)
  • Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID vaccination card or declination (initial vaccine required, seasonal not mandatory)
• Drug screening:

  • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable)
  • 11 Panel Drug Screen within 7 days prior to start (facility-specific requirement)
• Skills checklist annually
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
• State-specific clearances for Pennsylvania:

  • Child Abuse Search
  • Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results
  • PATCH Search Results
