Description

Registered Nurse - NICU

Location: Denver, Colorado
Shift: Night
Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

Perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions according to state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Continuously evaluate patient health status through data collection and assessment.
Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment directly or through delegation and supervision.
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed.
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Utilize resources effectively.
May float to other departments within competency and qualifications based on business needs.
May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
