Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry Nights

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele)
Shift: Night shift (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating: Required to float within scope to like units as needed
Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating
Local Candidates: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule from main campus)
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
On-Call: Not required
Guaranteed Hours: Call-off policy allows 2 shifts off per 13-week assignment; all other contracted shifts guaranteed
Return Staff Policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year before returning as a traveler
Contract Limit: Maximum of 2 contracts (one extension allowed), then must be off for 6 months before returning

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
