Description

Job Opportunity: Critical Care Float Nurse

Location: Cartersville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 10 weeks

Job Overview

Position is for hospital float pool staff, expected to float throughout the hospital including the Emergency Department.
Primary work area is the ER hold area.
Floating within the facility as needed and within scope of practice.
Weekend schedule: Every other weekend.
No call required.
No block schedule requests allowed.
Holiday work expectations:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler must work it.
- If 2 major holidays fall, traveler must work both.
- If 3 major holidays fall, traveler must work 2 of them.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Critical Care Float nurse, with at least 1 year of recent Critical Care Float experience.
Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by AHA or ARC.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
