Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - ER (Emergency Room)

Location: Thomson, Georgia

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room for patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
• Treat patients presenting with all types of complaints and across all age groups.
• Patient volume averages about 60 per day.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is approximately 1:4.
• Unit has 14 rooms and 17 beds.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system, Pyxis medication system, and SBAR communication framework.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
• Floating within the facility as needed and within scope of practice.
• No call requirements.
• Weekend shifts every other weekend.
• Holiday work expectations: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it; if 2 holidays, work both; if 3 holidays, work 2 of them. Set schedules apply.

Shift Details

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week
• 12 hours per shift (18:30 to 7:00)
• Total 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience using Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Return to Office (RTO) requirement: Maximum 7 days.
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length.
• Locals accepted at the same rate.
• Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks.
• Floating within the facility as needed.
• No call responsibilities.
• Must review and sign facility-specific Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start.
