Location: Burns, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Job Description

• Primarily an ER nurse role with the requirement to float to MedSurg units as needed.
• Experience or ability to float to OB is a plus but not required.
• Weekend work is required.
• Block scheduling may be accommodated depending on unit needs.
• Locals are accepted.
• Start date: September only.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon (must be current and active).
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Certifications required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year search (SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender registry)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM (must be completed annually and within 14 days of start)
  • HHS/OIG (must be completed annually and within 14 days of start)
• Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, HIPAA access guidelines, compliance and privacy attestation, and COVID-19 exemption forms if applicable.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with specific protocols for past positives).
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccine, or history of chickenpox)
• 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccine or documented declination required.
• COVID-19 vaccination card required per Oregon state rules; religious or medical exemptions require facility-specific exemption forms and approval.

• Scrub color is flexible; any colors or patterns are acceptable.

• References: 2 professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 2 years of start).

Summary

This is a night-shift travel contract for an ER nurse with at least 1 year of experience, Oregon RN license, and required certifications.
