Job Summary

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Assist physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures and act as scrub assistant while maintaining sterile conditions.
• Operate imaging equipment and monitor/document procedure images and events from the control room.
• Provide patient care under RN supervision.
• Educate patients and families about the procedure, including pre- and post-procedure physical conditions and expectations.
• Maintain order, cleanliness, and appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards, including productivity information.
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives by identifying areas for improvement and potential safety hazards.
• Promote organizational mission, vision, and values, and adhere to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Cardiovascular Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Fluoroscopy Certification.
• Experience in cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
