MRI Tech Travel/Contract Job - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Job Summary

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Alternating 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Average Daily Census: 25 patients; 2 rooms
- Patient Age Group: Adults & Geriatrics
- Patient Diagnoses: Spine only
- Work Setting: Adult outpatient clinic
- Scheduling: Per clinic needs
- Call, float, and weekend requirements: None
Required Skills and Experience
- MRI Technologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ARRT (MR) certification
- NIHSS certification
- Experience working in an outpatient setting
- Clinical skills including:
- Musculoskeletal imaging of hip and bony pelvis
- Musculoskeletal imaging of knee
- Spine imaging: cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, and thoracic regions
- Preparation and administration of contrast media
Equipment and Systems
- MRI Units: Philips Ingenia 1.5T
- PACS: Visage
- Electronic Health Record: EPIC
Orientation and Start Details
- Orientation scheduled per clinic needs
- Start date subject to change based on class and trainer availability
- Travelers may start Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week
- Full availability required during orientation; missing any portion may delay or cancel start
- No Return to Office (RTO) allowed after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation
Uniform
- Scrubs: Navy blue (not provided)
Required Background and Compliance Checks
- Background checks including local county, federal court, national criminal database, DOJ sex offender search, and education verification for highest degree related to profession
- Drug screening within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative result required)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
- Fit mask testing (N95 or PAPR training) within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray per facility requirements
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (including facility-specific declination if titer negative/equivocal)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required annually
- Completion of facility-specific mandatory education and compliance training annually
- Medication safety training and certificate of completion required
- Radiation badge required for this role; facility will provide
Required Documentation

- Professional references: 2 within 3 years for travel allied candidates
- Performance evaluation if worked with agency over 1 year

- Confidentiality agreement and hospital policies acknowledgment
- Facility-specific education checklists and orientation modules as required
- Photo for badge may be required depending on assignment location in South Carolina
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete all required certifications and competencies prior to start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required if applicable
- Candidates must complete the facility’s Corp ID and I-Learn account setup within 72 hours of contract signing
- No call, float, or weekend shifts required
- No onsite RTO allowed after booking; strict attendance policy during orientation and assignment
This position is ideal for experienced MRI Technologists with outpatient musculoskeletal and spine imaging skills, who have prior travel contract experience and are fully available for orientation and assignment start dates.
