ICU Registered Nurse
Location
- Stockbridge, Georgia
Assignment Details
- Travel/contract role
- 14-week contract
- Day shift, 3x12 hours: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Clinical Setting
- Adult to geriatric ICU
- Common diagnoses include ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT
- Patient ratio is 1:2-3, with possible assignment of a third patient
- 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- Every other weekend
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- One major holiday must be worked if it falls during the assignment; two major holidays require working both; three major holidays require working two
Additional Notes
- Navy blue scrubs
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
- Full compliance is required before start
- Background check, education verification, physical, TB clearance, drug screen, immunization/documentation, references, skills checklist, and work history verification are required per onboarding process
- Photo ID required
- Clinical screening will be used to determine fit
