Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Long Term Acute Care (2 years of experience)
Long Term Acute Care experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS
BLS
Pass/Fail Testing acknowledgment
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
Education verification related to specialty
Background check
Physical exam
TB screening
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Drug screen: negative 10-panel within 30 days
Tdap within the last 10 years
Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
Hepatitis B vaccine series, positive titer, or signed declination
Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
COVID vaccination is not required

Schedule and Assignment Details

Every other weekend required
Floating within scope to like units is required
First-time travelers are accepted
Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
Pending license is not accepted
Return travelers must have been away for 1 year
Maximum of 2 contracts, with only 1 extension allowed before a 6-month break is required
