Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse

- Night shift
- 3x12-hour shifts
- 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
Assignment Length
- 14 weeks
Patient Population
- Adults to geriatrics
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience managing continuous IV cardiac medications (including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin, Bumex, Lasix, Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin, and insulin drips)
- Arrhythmia management experience
Clinical Setting and Skills
- Overflow IMCU
- Arrhythmia management
- Cardioversion
- Cardiac CHF
- Chest pain
- Renal
- Pulmonary conditions including COPD and pulmonary edema
- PE and DVT
- Stable A-fib, SVT, and bradycardia
- Surgical overflow including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, chest tubes, and biliary drains
- Occasional vascular, post-cardiac cath, TR band, DKA, ortho, and CVA overflow
- Basic Med Surg and arrhythmia knowledge
Work Conditions
- Ratio: 1:5-6
- 32-bed unit
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice
- Call is rare with a 2-hour response time
- Typically every other weekend
- Up to 7 days of requested time off per contract
- Must work major holidays as assigned
Additional Notes
- Full compliance is required before start
- Epic is preferred
- Navy blue scrubs required
