Medical Surgical Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract position in Augusta, Georgia
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 14 weeks
- Patient population: adolescents to geriatrics
- Unit type: medical surgical with remote telemetry
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- 38-bed unit with average daily census of 33
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience with Epic
- Full compliance required before start
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified
- Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
- No call required
- One major holiday must be worked if it falls during the assignment; two major holidays must be worked if both fall during the assignment; three major holidays require working two
- RTO maximum: 7 days
- Spring Break blackout dates: April 4–12

- Navy blue scrubs required
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length
- Background check, education verification, work history verification, references, skills checklist, physical exam, TB screening, drug screen, and immunization/documentation requirements apply before start
