Registered Nurse — Medical Surgical
Overview
- Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty focus: Neuro unit with general medicine patients
Schedule
- Night shift
- 4x12-hour shifts
- 36 or 48 hours accepted
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Travelers float first
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred
- NIH certification
- Neuro experience
- Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted
- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Navy blue scrubs required; not provided
- Orientation is 24 hours
- Candidate may be assigned to storm or hurricane response duties
- Candidate may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
