PACU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Honesdale, Pennsylvania
- Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Monday through Friday schedule
- 13-week contract
- PACU/SDS setting
- On-call coverage required for 7–10 call days in a 4-week period
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Competency Exam
- 2 professional references within 3 years of start
- Background check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Fingerprint Results
- Pennsylvania PATCH Search Results
Experience / Clinical Requirements
- NIH Stroke Certification required for PACU/SDS is not listed; no additional specialty experience requirement was stated
Health Documentation
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Tdap within 10 years
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity/documentation as specified by the source
- Drug screen required before start
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
- COVID vaccination card or declination
- Emergency contact form
- Government-issued photo ID
Notes
- Meditech is the EMR used
- STABLE is preferred for OB roles, not required for this position
