RN - Med/Surg
Location: Lafayette, Colorado Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 3 x 12-hour days, 0700-1930; weekends rotating Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week
Role Summary
- Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under accepted practice standards set by the state Board of Nursing.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including ongoing health data collection and assessment.
- Provides health teaching, health counseling, and supportive or restorative therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
- Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines and uses resources as needed.
- Promotes the organization's mission, vision, and values and follows service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.
- May be required to be on call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience, with Med Surg experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
