RN - ED
Location: Golden, Colorado
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour variable shifts (mids/nights), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week, weekends included
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Performs independent and delegated nursing functions under the state Board of Nursing's accepted practice standards.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including ongoing health data collection and assessment.
- Provides health teaching, health counseling, and therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
- Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors treatment plans.
- Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, based on business need.
- May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 1+ years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
