Job Title: Travel - NICU Respiratory Therapist (754) / MC Las Colinas / 7A-7P
Location: Irving, TX
Setting: Hospital – NICU
Pay Range: Discuss with Recruiter
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating Weekends)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Candidate Type: Traveler friendly – travel reimbursement available

Requirements:

• Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy (RT)
• Must have clinical management experience for adult vent patients
• Experience with vent weaning guidelines
• Trach care management
• Emergency and standard airway care for all patient populations
• EKG procedures
• Blood gas analysis and ABG sampling techniques
• RT medication administration
• RT plan of care, assessment, and progress evaluation
• Oxygen therapy proficiency
• Code Blue, Trauma, STEMI response
• Documentation and charge for therapy provided
• Physician communication skills
• Safety standards and checklist completion
• Infection prevention standards
• Valid TX state license
• NBRC RRT certification
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

Responsibilities: As a healthcare professional in a hospital NICU, you will:

• Assist with ventilator management and weaning for neonatal and adult patients (RT)
• Perform routine airway management, including emergency airway procedures
• Conduct blood gas analyses and interpret ABG results
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate care plans effectively
