We’re currently looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Corrections contract assignment.
Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Schedule: 10 hours per week Day Shift (Note: 4 - 10 hour day shifts)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Candidate Type: Local or travel candidates
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Qualified applicants MUST have at least 2 years of experience in correctional healthcare
- Valid LPN license in Virginia
- Be willing to obtain state licensure if not already licensed in VA
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of corrections healthcare regulations and procedures
Responsibilities:
As a healthcare professional in a corrections facility, you will provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and patient assessments, supporting the health and safety of incarcerated individuals.
- Administer medications and monitor patient conditions in accordance with LPN scope of practice (LPN)
- Conduct assessments and document patient responses, utilizing key correctional healthcare skills
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with correctional health protocols and industry standards
