Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location: Charleston, SC
Setting: Hospital / Surgical Center
Pay Range: $45.69 - $47.97 per hour
Schedule: Night 3x12s (18:30 - 07:00) (Note: Weekend requirements, on-call, and potential float within scope)
Contract Length: Discuss with Recruiter
Candidate Type: Traveler friendly – travel reimbursement available

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in a pediatric setting
• Minimum of 2 traveler contract experience
• Valid SC/Compact Nursing License
• BLS certification required
• Radiation badge needs to be provided by parent company of ORs (8, but only 2 operational overnight)
• Experience preferred: pediatrics and/or women’s surgery
• First-timers accepted: No
• Local candidates only – within 60 miles
• Willing to accommodate block schedule; night shift only for urgent/emergent add-ons
• On-call and weekend requirements included
• RTO restrictions apply; all RTO must be included at submission
• Guaranteed hours; traveler may be called off 10 hours per 2-week period
• Emergency response during hurricane season (June – November) may be required

Responsibilities:
As a healthcare professional in a hospital/surgical center, the OR RN will:

• Provide perioperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety and comfort from pre-op to post-op, utilizing OR RN skills.
• Assist in pediatric and women’s surgical procedures, demonstrating expertise in pediatric and surgical nursing techniques.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols during surgeries, utilizing industry-standard infection prevention keywords.
