Job Details:
- Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech / SPT
- Location: Charleston, SC

- Pay Range: $34.06 - $35.76
- Schedule: 07:00 - 15:30
- Contract Length: 13 weeks

Responsibilities:
- Supervise lead technicians and non-certified staff across all SPD areas including decontamination, prep/pack, sterilization, case carts, and sterile storage.
- Assign daily staff tasks based on workload and department priorities.
- Oversee instrument tracking, documentation accuracy, and inventory control.
- Collaborate on staff orientation and training plans.
- Monitor tray turnaround times, instrument availability, and case cart readiness.
- Troubleshoot equipment, workflow, and instrument issues in real time.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards such as AAMI ST79, AORN, CDC, and regulatory guidelines.
- Audit tray assembly, labeling, and documentation quality.
- Address service concerns and participate in interdisciplinary meetings related to instrumentation and workflow.
- Maintain infection control and safety standards across all department activities.
- Organize and distribute instruments, prepare trays, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
- Float between main SPD and CSC based on unit needs.
